Exploring Holistic and Diverse Approaches to Building Community
St Francis Xavier Major Seminary Community discovers different interpretations of the community’s core values, leading to greater learning and appreciation of diversity.
Conducted by Colin Yeow
St Francis Xavier Major Seminary Community discovered how different thinking and behavioural preferences of individuals might explore their faith differently, and hence have different approaches towards prayer or striving for their core values. The recognistion that each person have different norms, has allowed the participants to now react differently from the past and allow for better interactions and lower misunderstanding of intents. Moving forward, the community will continue to use Emergenetics to discover different interpretations of the community’s core values which leads to greater learning and appreciation of diversity.
“… allowed me to see…what I might consider as the norm might not necessarily be the norm for others…enabling me to react differently from the past.”
