Leveraging Strength in Diversity to Better Serve the Community
WINGS learns there is strength in diversity in a team to achieve common goals.
Conducted by Weetz Seah
WINGS were impacted by the realisations they had of each others’ thinking and behavioural preferences through the Emergenetics Profile, in particular to their least preferred attributes. The group activities where they had to exercise their least preferred attributes allowed the participants to develop understanding and empathy for their team members as well as appreciate the importance of language and intent in refining communication with each other for more effective and collaborative working relationships. With the understanding and knowledge gained, the team shared that they will now be more mindful in their daily interactions and continue to improve their methods of communicating with one other, so that they can achieve their goals and better serve the community.
"Happy", "Energised", "Grateful", "Enjoyable", "Aware" were some of the powerful one-word descriptions…that summed up the experience and value.

Established since 2007, WINGS is the only non-profit in Singapore singularly focused on promoting active ageing for women. WINGS aims to continue to lead in the areas of holistic wellness for women from the lower-income segments, so they are empowered with skills and knowledge; and plan for their future financially; as well as to live a healthier and more active lifestyle. For the next 3-5 years, WINGS’ strategic goals will be to deepen reach to lower-income women; bringing WINGS’ centre-based offerings to a network of satellite communities across Singapore; innovative programmes and services in skills development, employment & entrepreneurship for older women; and establishing a WINGS Concierge for older women. WINGS seek to play an active role and to collaborate with all agencies involved in ageing to work towards a more integrative approach at a national level for deeper relevance, impact and sustainability.
