This month, we welcome two new members to the Emergenetics family! We are pleased to introduce both Imee Anra Lim and Nicholas Gabriel Lim to you. Learn what they do, what makes them tick and some of their favourite pastimes!
Imee Anra Lim, Resident Baby Ninja
Meet Imee Lim, our Market Development Executive. She is a tri-modal thinker and let’s just say blue is not her colour. She enjoys occasional dad jokes and clever puns, and has a strange fascination with survivalist TV shows.
As part of the Emergenetics family, she does coordination and production support for corporate and global projects as well as assists in marketing events and new initiatives. Having had experience in events management, media, and advertising, she is able to understand the importance of time management and is able to multitask like a baby ninja.
Her friends would describe her as a happy-go-lucky and an easy-going girl, but that would not be the case if you insult her best friend, Taylor Swift. She loves to try out new activities, food, and shower gels. She strongly believes that no one should take life too seriously, and that no one should break a runny egg yolk. Last but not least, she tries her best to keep her child-like wonder alive, because growing up is for trees.
Let’s give Imee a warm welcome and give her a high-five when you see her around. Any bad jokes or Taylor Swift sing-off challenge are always welcome.
Nicholas Gabriel Lim, Resident Uncle Agony
Meet Nicholas Gabriel Lim, Director of Development, Youth and Education. He has a bi-modal preference in Social and Structural and sits right in the middle in the 2nd-Thirds for all three behavioural spectrums of Expressiveness, Assertiveness and Flexibility. Want to know how to engage him? Well, it all depends! (Oh we’re kidding!)
Nicholas holds a Masters Degree in Applied Psychology from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and is a Registered Psychologist. He is a Board Member of the Singapore Psychological Society. He co-founded Youth Work Association (Singapore) and now sits on its board. He also chairs the Youth Division at Media Literacy Council, is a Member of the National Council on Problem Gambling with specific concerns towards youth as well as co-founded the Archdiocesan Commission for the Family where he currently sits on the Board.
Nicholas used to run his own business and led out in organization development in his previous work. He is consulted regularly on parenting and youth development matters, and he has also spoken on many youth-related topics on television, radio and at conferences, including topics like the positive uses of social media, parenting in the digital world, understanding adolescents, building positive relationships, and inculcating values.
At Emergenetics International – Asia Pacific (EGI-A), Nicholas is looking into business expansion, especially in the education and youth development markets. With his impressive portfolio, we are confident that Nicholas enjoys what he does here at EGI-A and will do it admirably.
Despite his work, Nicholas enjoys watching a good movie and doing outdoor sports. He believes very much in spiritual health amidst the hustle and bustle of life, and makes an effort to ensure he has time for reflection and quiet time to consolidate life lessons and experiences. He has great interest in adventure therapy, personal self-regulation and psycho-spirituality. Plus, he loves to listen and empathise, which is why he’s the resident Uncle Agony. Once in a while, we do hobble over to his desk and pour our laments of a broken cookie. Once in a while, he’d tell us to move on and have a slice of fruit instead.
Send your well wishes to Nicholas the next time you pop by Keong Saik Road! He would be more than happy to have a chat with you.
