Dialogue In the Dark for the Emergenetics Impact SG50 Initiative

Emergenetics Associate Jason Tan conducted a Meeting of the Minds (MOTM) workshop titled ‘Knowing Your Brilliance with Emergenetics’ for 16 visually impaired guides and 5 full-time sighted staff working at Dialogue in the Dark, Singapore (DID).

Here, the participants learnt to understand their thinking and behavioural preferences. Unlike the typical MOTM workshop, Jason could not solely rely on the presentation slides. He supplemented the workshop with numerous scenarios and real-life examples such that the significance of the thinking and behavioural preferences could be accurately conveyed.

Through the workshop, the team is now more aware of themselves and are actively striving to be more interactive and communicative. This has led to fewer conflicts and misunderstandings between them.

“The Emergenetics profiling tool certainly proves that all of us are different. It is up to us to learn how to work with one another to make Dialogue in the Dark a conducive and fun workplace.”

– Sim Kah Yong, Facilitator/Guide of DID
