The World Institute for Action Learning (WIAL) has awarded Emergenetics International – Asia Pacific (EGI-A) with the 2015 Innovation Award.
The award was presented to us on 29 October at the WIAL Global Conference, and was received by Megan Hartman from from our Denver office, on our behalf.
The award is given to an individual or organisation that has applied Action Learning in a unique and different way and has created new knowledge and insights into how Action Learning can be used in the world at large.
Ng Choon Seng, Managing Director of WIAL Singapore, and also an Emergenetics Associate, has worked closely with EGI-A since 2014.
In fact, in 2015, both Choon Seng and Colin Yeow, Deputy CEO of Emergenetics International – Asia Pacific had organised the 2015 WIAL Singapore Action Learning Forum. A total of 42 participants from Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, China, Thailand, United Kingdom, Vietnam and Greece attended the inaugural “Emergenetics with Action Learning” seminar on 2 June 2015.
The ‘Emergenetics with Action Learning’ seminar hosted 42 participants from all over the world.
Colin was enthusiastic and optimistic about the collaboration. “I felt a strong synergy between Action Learning and Emergenetics. In my reflections and experience with both tools, Action Learning felt like a concrete, effective way of applying Emergenetics to small teams, helping them solve problems and focus on leadership development as well.”
Choon Seng concurred, “Through EGI-A’s innovative ideas and execution of these ideas, they have contributed vastly to the growth of Action Learning (AL). I strongly recommended that the WIAL Innovation Award be awarded to the EGI-A Team for their innovation in integrating Action Learning with Emergenetics.”
